AMES, Iowa – For the record-tying third year in a row, the Iowa State men’s basketball team will be dancing. The Cyclones learned the news just hours after returning home from Kansas City where they won their first Big 12 Tournament championship since 2000 Saturday night.

Winners of four-straight, the Cyclones earned the No. 3 seed in the East Region and will face No. 14 seed North Carolina Central Friday in San Antonio, Texas. The Cyclones and Eagles (28-5) will tipoff at 8:50 p.m. with the game being televised on TNT.

The NCAA allocates only 350 tickets to each participating institution for the preliminary rounds of the tournament. Iowa State’s NCAA ticket allotment for the preliminary rounds will be allocated as follows:

• Cyclone Club Members - 166 Tickets
• Iowa State Students - 34 tickets
• Participating Student-Athlete’s Family/Guests - 76 tickets
• Coaches’ Family and Administrative Travel Party - 74 tickets

Because of the extremely limited availability, only Cyclone Club members who are also men’s season ticketholders at the Directors (maximum four tickets), Victory (two tickets) and Captains (two tickets) levels may request tickets.

Ticket orders should be placed on Monday, March 17 between 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. either in person at the Iowa State Athletics Ticket Office or by phone at 888-478-2925, locally at 294-1816. Requesting tickets does NOT guarantee fulfillment. All tickets will be allocated according to giving level and priority points within the respective level. Ticket holders will be notified by 2:30 p.m. if their request cannot be fulfilled.

If tickets remain after 2:30 p.m. on March 17, they will be offered to all Cyclone Club members who are also men’s basketball season ticketholders. The limit will be two (2) tickets per account and seats will be allocated based on giving level.

All tickets must be picked up (by purchaser only - photo ID is required) at the ISU “Will Call”, located at the southeast box office on Friday, March 21.  Tickets will be available beginning 90 minutes prior to the first game of our session. If ISU advances to the third round, ticket pick-up will be at the same location. All orders are based on availability.

Iowa State fans will be charged only for the sessions that the Cyclones participate in. Fans that purchase second-round tickets will be charged for the third round only if the Cyclones advance. If Iowa State does not advance, fans will not be charged nor will tickets be available for the third round.

Tickets for the sessions will be either $66 or $86 (depending on location). Fans unable to purchase tickets through Iowa State’s limited allotment should check directly with the respective host’s sites regarding availability.
