AMES, Iowa – Iowa State assistant men’s golf coach Peter Laws will compete in the PGA Tour’s RBC Canadian Open this weekend, July 25-28 at the Glen Abbey Golf Club.

Laws earned the spot at this week’s PGA Tour stop by carding a 7-under 64 at the Final Qualifier at Heron Point Golf Links.

A native of Milton, Ontario, Laws joined the Cyclone golf staff two weeks ago. Laws, who was a three-time First-Team All Mid-American Conference performer at Kent State (2002-05), also competed in the Canadian Open when he was an amateur.
