ANKENY, Iowa – Members of the Iowa State women’s basketball team took a swing for a good cause yesterday in Ankeny. Jadda Buckley, Nikki Moody and Brynn Williamson participated in a celebrity wiffle ball game to help raise money for an all-inclusive playground at the Miracle League Park.

The event was sponsored by HyVee, who also fielded a team to play against the celebrities. Team HyVee started off the game strong with a 6-0 lead, but a stellar bottom of the fifth evened the score, 6-6. However, team HyVee would pull away with the win, 7-6. All three Cyclones recorded hits, with Williamson scoring a run.

The event took place in front of a few hundred spectators who came out to the park as a part of the annual All-City Play Day to encourage children and adults to participate in a variety of outdoor activities.
