2007-08 (Sophomore)
Endured an injury-riddled sophomore campaign where he missed five games and played with an injured ankle throughout the majority of the season...honorable mention all-Big 12 selection...second on the team in scoring at 12.4 ppg...shot 77.9 percent (60-77 FT) from the free-throw line...second on the team in 3-pointers made with 47, tying for the 18th-best single-season total in school history...scored in double figures in 20 of 27 games, leading the Cyclones in scoring 11 times...totaled a team-high seven 20-point games...posted 20 points in four-straight games, including a career-high 24 points (8-15 FG) vs. Oklahoma State to help him earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors (Jan. 21)...was 6-of-8 from the floor and 5-of-7 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points vs. Albany...tallied a double-double vs. Missouri with 20 points and 11 caroms...scored 20 points behind a 5-of-11 effort from 3-point range vs. No. 6 Kansas...his 79 career treys ranks 13th in school history.

Named to the Big 12 all-Rookie team and earned honorable mention freshman All-America honors ( after recording one of the best rookie seasons in ISU history...averaged 12.3 points and 7.9 rebounds, starting 30 of 31 games...shot 44.5 percent from the field (141-317 FG) and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line (67-89 FT)...led ISU, ranked third in the Big 12 and 77th nationally in rebounding (7.9 rpg)...won ISU’s Outstanding Rebounder Award...his 244 boards is the second-best total for an ISU freshman and the sixth-best season effort for a rookie in Big 12 history...ranked second in the Big 12 in double-doubles (11), the second-best double-double total for an ISU freshman in school history...led the Big 12 in offensive rebounding (3.16 orpg)...led the team in blocks with 33, the third-best effort for an ISU freshman...drilled 32 treys, the third-best freshman total in school history...named Big 12 Player of the Week (Dec. 19) after posting back-to-back double-doubles vs. Savannah State and Bradley...recorded 14 points and 13 rebounds in ISU’s road win vs. Missouri, including the game-winner on a tip-in with :01.6 seconds left...named Big 12 Rookie of the Week (Jan. 8) after his heroics vs. Missouri...tallied 17 points (7-11 FG) at No. 10 Texas A&M...grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Colorado...drilled a career-high five treys en route to 17 points vs. Missouri...went 8-for-12 from the field and scored 17 points at Texas...posted 22 points in ISU’s 69-63 win at Nebraska...played for the Athletes in Action All-Star team that toured Australia in the summer of 2007...averged 14.3 points in the seven-game tour...was teammates with Texas A&M’s Josh Carter.

Played at Corsicana High School in Texas and then transferred to a pair of prep schools (Patterson School {N.C.}, Eldon Academy)...originally signed with Louisiana-Monroe out of high school and then opted to attend prep school after a coaching change...played for the Dallas Mustangs AAU team, the top AAU club in Texas...averaged 15.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks his final year at Corsicana...named the 2005 Golden Circle Defensive Player of the Year and was a first-team all-district pick in 2004 and 2005...chose Iowa State over Charlotte and San Diego State.
