Mediacom/Clone Zone to Carry Iowa State-UNI Football
AMES, Iowa - Mediacom announced that it will televise the Iowa State - Northern Iowa football game, giving Iowans live coverage of Saturday's 6 p.m. kickoff inside Jack Trice Stadium. In addition, because of Mediacom's relationship with Iowa State, those that do not have Mediacom will have an opportunity to watch the game live online via the Clone Zone, the multimedia arm of cyclones.com.
About the Mediacom broadcast
The game broadcast will be produced by Mediacom, airing statewide and in surrounding states on MC22, the Connections Channel. The channel is available to all Mediacom cable subscribers and is located at channel 22 (channel 12 in Mason City, Charles City areas).
Mediacom’s game coverage will be led by veteran sportscaster BJ Schaben, who will announce play-by-play action. Ben Bruns, former ISU All-American center, will add color commentary.
“Mediacom’s longstanding partnership with the ISU Athletic Department makes it a tradition to deliver live sports competition like this to a statewide audience using our own channel, MC22,” said Steve Purcell, Mediacom regional vice president. “The combined rosters of these two teams include nearly 100 players from high schools throughout Iowa, and we know there’s high interest in seeing this game.”
In addition to the live action, Mediacom will make the game available for viewing in its local OnDemand programs on Sept. 28, and also will show full-game replays during the week of Sept. 27. View the MC22 program schedule online at www.MC22.net.
