Rewarded with a scholarship in fall camp … started eight games at wide receiver … led the team in yards per catch (14.3) and ranked third on the team in receptions (31) and receiving yards (442) … in his first career start vs. UNI, recorded a career-high 103 receiving yards and a TD … caught a career-long 59-yard TD catch vs. UNI … recorded a career-high eight receptions for 78 yards vs. Kansas … scored the game-tying TD to force overtime vs. West Virginia on a 19-yard catch … then scored the eventual game-winning TD on a 25-yard catch in the third overtime vs. West Virginia … ended the WVU game with five catches for 91 yards and two TDs.

Class B first-team all-state quarterback senior season at Beatrice High School ... also played at running back, wide receiver and defensive back ... rushed for 1,378 yards and racked up over 2,800 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns, leading Beatrice to Class B state championship game ... scored touchdowns on a 96-yard kickoff return, 24-yard run and 64-yard reception before capping off game with a three-yard run on a fake PAT in overtime to defeat Omaha Gross 63-62 in state quarterfinal game ...
