MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State’s defense stifled the Iowa State offense and the Wildcats rushed for 227 yards on the ground to beat the Cyclones, 41-7, Saturday afternoon. Iowa State falls to 1-7 overall and 0-5 in Big 12 play while Kansas State improves to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in league action.

Turning Point of the Game
Iowa State’s opening drive started strong with first-down pickups on the first three plays from scrimmage but a false start helped to stall the drive. Kansas State took the control of the game at that point. The Wildcats would drive in for a touchdown and tack on another field goal to lead 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.

KSU would extend the lead to 17-0 at the half and 20-0 at the end of the third quarter but ISU struggled to get much going offensively in the game.

Offensive Game Ball Goes To...
DeVondrick Nealy rushed for a season-high 53 yards on a career-high 12 carries, including a 10-yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was Nealy’s third career touchdown and the third in as many weeks.

Defensive Game Ball Goes To...
Jeremiah George had another double-digit tackle effort for the Cyclones, finishing with 12 stops. The Big 12 leader in tackles has recorded double-figure tackles in seven games in a row. George had 2.0 tackles for a loss to give him 7.5 on the season, all of which have come in Big 12 play.
