Iowa State Hosts No. 9 Baylor On Senior Night

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team (20-8, 9-8 Big 12) takes on No. 9 Baylor (25-4, 15-2 Big 12) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum. Tuesday's game will also serve as Senior Night, as the Cyclones will honor seniors, Elly Arganbright, Hallie Christofferson and Ashley Hagedorn.

Cyclone Headlines
- Iowa State is looking for its 10th conference win for the eighth time in school history. Iowa State is 6-18 all-time against Baylor with its last win against the Lady Bears coming in 2010 at home. -The Cyclones game against the Lady Bears will also serve as ISU’s Senior Night. ISU will honor seniors, Ashley Hagedorn, Elly Arganbright and Hallie Christofferson. Iowa State is 16-2 on Senior Night under head coach Bill Fennelly with its last loss coming in the 2001-02 season.
With the win at Kansas on Saturday, Iowa State notched its 13th 20-win season in school history.
-The Cyclones are one of the nation’s best free-throw shooting teams, connecting on 80.4 percent from the charity stripe, which ranks second nationally. Brynn Williamson, (.917), Hallie Christofferson (.888) and Jadda Buckley (.879) rank in the top-20 in the nation in free-throw shooting.
-Senior Hallie Christofferson was recently named one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. Iowa State is the only school in the country to have finalists for the award in back-to-back seasons, with Chelsea Poppens representing ISU last season. Iowa State is also the only school with a men’s and women’s finalist, as Melvin Ejim is a men’s finalist.  
-Over the last two games Iowa State has assisted on 49 of 81 made baskets (60 percent). In Iowa State’s win at Oklahoma State, the Cyclones assisted on 69 percent of their buckets (20 assists 29 baskets). Iowa State was led by Nikki Moody, who grabbed eight assists against Texas and 10 at No. 15 OSU for her 12th career double-digit assist game. Jadda Buckley led the Cyclones at Kansas with seven assists.
-Iowa State is one of 11 schools in the country with two freshmen averaging double digits, with Jadda Buckley grabbing 11.3 points and Seanna Johnson with 10.7 points.
-Christofferson is the fifth Cyclone to amass 1,600 points and 750 rebounds in a career (Angie Welle, Megan Taylor, Jayme Olson, Tonya Burns). She also ranks in the top-10 in Iowa State history in points (1,661), rebounds (778), field goals made (545) free-throw’s made (432), free-throw’s attempted (510), blocked shots (95) and free-throw percentage (.846).
-Iowa State’s 11-0 non-conference record marks just the third time in school history the Cyclones posted a perfect non-conference schedule. Since the 2005-06 season, only nine Big 12 squads have posted undefeated non-conference slates.
-The Cyclones’ 14-game winning streak to kick off the season is the longest in school history and also sets the school record for a program-best start (14-0).

Last Time Out
-Iowa State won its third-consecutive game at Kansas, 87-79. The Cyclones shot a season-high 56.4 percent from the floor to propel ISU to its first win in Allen Fieldhouse since 2010. Iowa State improved to 20-8 on the season and 9-8 in Big 12 play.
-The Cyclones were led by Nikki Moody, who went 7-of-12 from the floor and totaled 18 points. Freshmen Seanna Johnson and Jadda Buckley also chipped in 17 and 16 points respectively. Buckley also led ISU with seven assists.

Series vs. Baylor
-The Cyclones are 4-5 against the Lady Bears at home in Hilton Coliseum and 8-18 all-time with their last win coming in the 2009-10 season when the Cyclones downed the No. 11 Lady Bears 69-45 in Hilton .
-The Cyclones and Lady Bears met earlier this season, with Baylor taking the contest 89-51 in Waco, Texas.
