Iowa State to Host Texas Tech
AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team opens their conference schedule Friday at 7 p.m. against the 15th-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
Friday’s game will be “Youth Club Day” featuring free Iowa State soccer water bottles for the first 250 fans to enter the gates and free Cyclone bracelets for young Cyclone fans.
Last time out
The Cyclones completed a two-game sweep shutting out both UNI and St. Louis, 2-0. Iowa State senior goalkeeper was tied for first in the Cyclone record book for career shutouts, but after the two games she now sits alone atop the record book with 18 career shutouts and counting.

Texas Tech is led by sophomore forward Janine Beckie, who is second in the conference for both goals scored with six and goals
What to watch for
The key matchup in this game will be how the strong Iowa State defense defends the potent Red Raiders scoring attack. Iowa State will depend on their record setting goalkeeper Maddie Jobe and a Cyclone defense that has shutout four different teams this year. Iowa State has yet to lose a game this season when they score at least two goals.
