Dominguez Shares Weekly Big 12 Honor

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State junior forward Jennifer Dominguez was named the co-Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week the league announced Tuesday.  The Lubbock, Texas, native earned the honor after scoring two goals against both TCU and West Virginia.

With her four goals last weekend, Dominguez leads the Big 12 in goals this season with 11. 

Dominguez shared the honor with West Virginia’s Kate Schwindel who registered one goal and three assists in a pair of Mountaineer wins during the weekend.

Dominguez’s opening goal against TCU was the first-ever in the history of the Cyclone Sports Complex and proved to be the game winner against the Horned Frogs.

Dominguez earned the honor for the first time in her career.
