Iowa State Set To Play North Dakota
AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team (3-2) will return home for a 12 p.m. game against the University of North Dakota at the Cyclone Sports Complex. Sunday’s game will be ‘Youth Day,’ featuring free Cyclone bracelets and jerseys.
Last time out
Iowa State suffered a 3-0 setback at Iowa on Friday. Iowa State was able to move the ball, but unable to capitalize on offense. The Cyclone goalkeeper Maddie Jobe added four more saves to her impressive career total of 222.
Scouting North Dakota
North Dakota (0-5) is led by freshman Zoe Foster who has scored the team’s lone goal on the season. North Dakota lost to Western Illinois 2-0 on Friday. Iowa State defeated Western Illinois 2-0 earlier this season. This is the first meeting between the schools.
What to watch for
A strong Iowa State offensive charge will look to attack a North Dakota goal that has given up 17 goals this season. The Cyclones will be led by seniors Jennifer Dominguez and Erin Green who have both scored two goals this year. Last season Dominguez led the Big 12 in goals per game.
