LOS ANGELES – Senior forward Hallie Christofferson was named to the John R. Wooden Award Women’s Midseason Top 20 list, the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced Friday.  Christofferson was one of just two Big 12 players to make the midseason list.

So far this season the Hamlin, Iowa native has recorded five double-doubles and 11 20-point games. Christofferson is second in the Big 12 scoring an average of 21.0 points per contest. She is also in the top-10 in the Big 12 in rebounding with 7.7 boards per game. Christofferson is also one of just 15 players nationally averaging over 20 points and 7.7 rebounds.

Christofferson’s strong play has led the Cyclones the best start in school history, winning the first 14 games of the season and setting school records for the best start in program history and the longest winning streak.

Christofferson and the Cyclones return to the court on Saturday to take on the Kansas State Wild Cats in Manhattan, Kan. at 7 p.m.
