Thursday, Sept. 1: Reminder: New Ticket Scanning System Goes Into Effect Saturday

For the first time, all Iowa State football tickets will be scanned at the entry gates of Jack Trice Stadium. Fans' tickets will also be exit scanned in order to gain re-entry to the stadium.

This scanning technology will supply a new level of ticket security and give fans more control over tickets they have purchased.  Season-ticket holders and single-game ticket purchasers will be able to re-print or forward their tickets by managing them online through their My Cyclone Athletics Account at cyclones.com. Season-ticket holders will also be provided with a seamless solution for selling seats online to other fans by utilizing our new Cyclone Ticket Exchange, the only authorized Iowa State Athletics resale site.

Iowa State Fans Urged to Arrive Early Saturday

Iowa State fans heading to Saturday's Northern Iowa at Iowa State football game in Jack Trice Stadium are urged to arrive early for the season-opening contest that kicks off at 6 p.m.

Road construction continues on U.S. 30 from 230th Street in Boone County to just east of University Boulevard in Ames. Traffic has shifted onto the new U.S. 30 eastbound lanes at the west end of the project, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's (DOT) Des Moines construction office.

In addition, the exit ramp from eastbound U.S. 30 to Iowa 930 (old U.S. 30/Lincoln way) will re-open as a single lane ramp instead of the previous dual lane ramp. Please use caution as motorists adjust to the new configuration.

Interstate 35 Southbound
Take exit 113 for 13th Street toward USDA Veterinary Labs. Turn right onto 13th Street. Continue to follow 13th Street. Turn left onto Grand Avenue. Turn right on S 4th Street. Continue on S 4th Street to Jack Trice Stadium.

Interstate 35 Northbound
Take Exit 11A to merge onto US 30 West. Take exit 148 for US 69/Duff Avenue. Turn right onto US-69 N/South Duff Avenue. Turn left onto S 3rd Street. Continue on S 3rd Street to Jack Trice Stadium.

HWY 30 Westbound
Take exit 142 toward Lincoln Way/Napier. Merge onto IA-930 E/Lincoln Hwy. Continue to follow Lincoln Hwy. Turn right onto Beach Avenue or University Blvd.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.

Fans Reminded to Respect Neighbors Near Jack Trice Stadium

The Iowa State Athletics Department is asking football fans, who park in the streets and neighborhoods surrounding Jack Trice Stadium, to be considerate of the home owners who live in those neighborhoods. Fans are expected to obey all Ames city parking regulations. Fans should only park where allowed. Trash should not be left behind by departing fans and ticket holders are expected to be sensitive to noise levels.
