AMES, Iowa - Iowa State offensive coordinator Tom Herman will be heading to Ohio State after the Cyclones' New Era Pinstripe Bowl game Dec. 30 vs. Rutgers in New York, N.Y. Herman will serve as offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and play-caller for new Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer.

"We wish Tom and his family all the best," Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads said. "Tom has made significant contributions as our offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. "We appreciate the work he has done developing all our quarterbacks."

Herman joined Rhoads' staff in January of 2009 from Rice, where he had been offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
