AMES, Iowa – Led by a career-high 33 points by senior forward Hallie Christofferson the 20th-ranked Iowa State women’s basketball team (8-0, 0-0 Big 12) toppled the Cal State-Fullerton Titans (1-7, 0-0 Big West) 79-52 Sunday afternoon, extending Iowa State’s non-conference home win streak to 74 consecutive games.

How it Happened:
The Cyclones were held to a season-low 27 points in the first half as they went cold from long for the first time this season, going 0-of-9 from beyond the arc in the first. The Titans on the other hand, seemed to revolve their game-plan around the 3-point line, as they had 23 three-point attempts, making six. The Cyclones struggles seemed to come in the rebounding battle, as they gave up seven offensive rebounds.

In the second half, the Cyclones would slowly extend their lead, shaking off any offensive attacks by Cal State-Fullerton. Iowa State would take a 12-point lead with just under 14 minutes remaining after a pair of free throw makes by Christofferson. The Cyclones would grab as much as a 27-point lead in the second to put the game away for good.
