Clinton native Thomas Howe is in his third season as a graduate assistant in the Iowa State football program. The 2004 Drake graduate works with the Cyclone offense. Howe came to ISU after a season as his alma mater’s defensive line coach and video coordinator. Howe was a three-year starter on the Drake defensive line, earning second-team all-Pioneer Conference honors in 2002.
Howe coached the interior defensive line and assisted with coaching outside linebackers for the 2005 season at Minot State (N.D.). Howe’s bachelor’s degree was in secondary education with business and coaching endorsements. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in higher education at Iowa State.
