Ryan Belsher is in his third year as a graduate assistant coach working with the Iowa State offense. Belsher played high school football in his hometown of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He then played quarterback for three seasons and was a fullback and tight end for Minot State (N.D.) his senior year. The Beavers were Dakota Athletic Conference champions in 2002, his senior season. He graduated in May 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Belsher then coached in the prep ranks at Bishop Ryan High School in Minot N.D. and at A.E. Peacock Collegiate High School in Moose Jaw. In 2005 he returned to Minot State as a graduate assistant coaching wide receivers and tight ends. Before joining the Iowa State coaching staff, Belsher was a graduate assistant at Adams State (Colo.) College, tutoring wide receivers, tight ends, kickers and quarterbacks.
