Cyclones To Play on ESPNU, FSN
AMES, Iowa – Iowa State volleyball will play televised matches, the Big 12 office announced Wednesday. ESPNU will air the Cyclones’ Nov. 14 home match with Kansas State while FSN will air Iowa State’s match at Texas on Oct. 17.
This season marks the third-straight season ESPNU has broadcast and Iowa State volleyball match; the network aired Cyclone matches against Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma in 2011 and Iowa State’s home match with Nebraska in the Cornhuskers’ final season in the Big 12.
Iowa State’s match at Texas will be the first FSN broadcast for Iowa State since playing at Missouri in 2007.
Iowa State appeared on television a record 11 times in 2011, including four matches on Metro Sports.
The Cyclones’ season gets underway on Aug. 24 against Cincinnati at the Comcast Lady Vol Classic in Knoxville, Tenn. First serve is set for 4 p.m. CDT.
