AMES, Iowa – Concession stands at Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum will have a Pepsi Pulse in 2014-15, as the Iowa State Athletics Department announced today its new licensing agreement to sell PepsiCo products at all of its home contests.

Beginning on July 1st, the athletics department switched out the vending machines and fountain drink stations in its facilities to PepsiCo products. Fans will now have access to nationally known brand names such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist and Aquafina.

As part of the new agreement with PepsiCo, Iowa State student-athletes will enjoy Gatorade drinks and other Gatorade nutritional products during practices and events.

The Gatorade brand has been around since 1965 when it was introduced as the first replenishing sports drink. Gatorade owns approximately 75 percent of the United States’ sports drink market and over 70 Division I schools use Gatorade as their sports drink provider.
