Spring Football: Scrimmage No. 2
AMES, Iowa – Iowa State’s football team went through a heavy-duty scrimmage Saturday on a pleasant day in Jack Trice Stadium. The last week of spring football is underway as ISU plays its spring game April 18 at 3 p.m. in Jack Trice Stadium.
“We played 140 snaps, which is one of the longest scrimmages I’ve ever been a part of,” Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads said. “I appreciated the effort expended by our players and we took some positive steps today.”

Rhoads says that the team made significant progress over the past week.
“There has been a noticeable improvement in all phases of the game,” Rhoads said. “We need to continue that improvement next week.”
The Cyclones practiced in front of high school coaches from across the state of Iowa who were in town for the Iowa State Spring Coaches Clinic. ISU will practice again Tuesday.
