2008-09 Recorded one of the greatest seasons in ISU history, earning All-Big 12 First-Team and first-team all-District honors from the NABC, USBWA and Basketball Times...named honorable mention All-American by the AP...named Big 12 Player of the Week three times...averaged 20.2 points, ranking second in the Big 12 and 22nd nationally...averaged 9.5 rebounds to rank third in the Big 12 and 26th nationally...one of three players in the country to rank in the top-30 nationally in both scoring and rebounding...in Big 12 games, averaged a double-double (21.8 points/10.3 rebounds), scoring 20 or more points in 11 of 16 conference games...scored a league-high 348 points in Big 12 games, the 10th-best single-season scoring total in league history (conference games only)...posted 19 20-point games and three 30-point outings...tallied 12 20-point/10-rebound games...tallied 15 double-doubles to rank fourth in the Big 12...ended the season ranking in ISU’s single season top-11 in four categories: field goals (9th-243), points (10th-645), rebounds (11th-303) and double-doubles (T10th-15)...is only the third player in school history to record 600 points (645) and 300 rebounds (303) in a season...became the 27th member of the 1,000-point club and just the fifth Cyclone in school history to record 1,000 points (1,011) in their first two seasons...scored a career-high 42 points vs. Kansas...the 42 points ties for the sixth-best effort by a Big 12 player in league history and is the fourth-best scoring effort in ISU history...registered 38 points on 15-of-23 shooting from the floor at Houston...his 15 field goals made is tied for third-best all-time by a Big 12 player...scored 32 points in an overtime victory at Northern Iowa...grabbed a career-high 17 boards vs. Jacksonville State...played on the USA World University Games team in Belgrade, Serbia in the summer of 2009...averaged 6.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in the seven-game tournament, helping USA earn a Bronze Medal.
2007-08 Produced an outstanding freshman season, averaging 11.4 points and 5.0 rebounds...became only the third Cyclone freshman to start every game of their rookie season (32 games)...tallied five 20-point games and three double-doubles...his five 20-point games ties for third on ISU’s freshman chart for most 20-point games by a rookie...second on the team in blocks with 31, ranking fourth on ISU’s freshman list...named MVP of the Cyclone Challenge...notched a double-double vs. Oregon State (23 points; 10 rebounds) to earn Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors...established ISU-freshman marks in points (33) and 3-pointers (8) at Baylor...made 12 field goals vs. BU, one shy of the ISU freshman single-game record...tallied his third double-double of the season vs. Texas A&M with 20 points and 12 boards.
High School Rated as the 18th-best player in the nation in the final 2007 Rivals.com rankings...ranked as the fourth-best power forward in the class of 2007...played for Brewster Academy [N.H.] in his final season, leading the squad to a 29-6 record and a NEPSAC Class A runner-up finish...averaged 18.1 points and 9.3 rebounds in his final season...chose Iowa State over Indiana, Pittsburgh, Illinois and Clemson.
