High School: Started for two seasons and earned a pair of letters at quarterback and free safety ... team was 14-6 his two seasons as starter ... as a senior led team to state quarterfinals and earned all-metro honors ... lettered three times in track, running on the Assumption 1600-meter medley that set a Class 3-A record ... lettered twice in baseball, playing on state Class 3-A championship team ... earned all-state honors as an outfielder ... lettered twice in basketball had was a two-year starter.
