High School: Started two years at linebacker for team that was 23-1 his junior and season seasons and won the Iowa prep Class 4-A state title his senior year with a 13-0 record ... lettered twice for head coach Randy Scott ... also lettered twice in soccer.

Personal: Born April 12, 1987, in Bettendorf, Iowa ... son of Rob and Stacy Zimmerman ... mechanical engineering major.
