Romano at ISU: Awards and Honors ... Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (F05, S06) ... 2005 ... Redshirted initial collegiate season.

 

High School: Started four years at linebacker, two years at fullback and one year at quarterback for team that was 42-5 during his four years in Class 1-A ... team was state runners-up in 2003 and won the school’s first state title in 2004 ... earned first-team all-state honors at linebacker from The Des Moines Register and the Iowa Newspaper Association in 2004 ... lettered four times in football for coaches Jim Duggan and Adam Kuhl ... lettered three times in track and field, twice in baseball and once in basketball.

 

Personal: Born November 29, 1986, in Omaha, Neb. ... son of Michael Romano and the late Mary Schermann ... pre-business major.
