The Cyclone Tailgate Tour, a traveling caravan featuring coaches, student-athletes, spirit squads, Cy, interactive games, attractions for kids, and door prizes makes stops across CyclONE Nation. The events are free and open to all fans and friends of the Cyclones.
“This has been our way for us to get out in the state and say ‘thanks’”, Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. “We (the athletics department) get to do what we do because of what Cyclone fans allow us to do. These events continue to be great ‘friendraisers’ and an excellent chance to build up our next generation of Cyclones with young children.”
The Iowa State culture is well represented amount our great coaches and staff. These events offer an opportunity to interact with coaches Paul Rhoads, Bill Fennelly, Fred Hoiberg, Kevin Jackson and Christy Johnson-Lynch along with our Athletics Director, Jamie Pollard and the voice of the Cyclones, John Walters! The atmosphere is great for the young and young at heart as we have interactive games, tons of great door prizes, official Iowa State logo apparel by Cy¹s Locker Room, affordable concessions, photo ops with Cy and our student-athletes, and an early evening with a drop-in-as-you-please program.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming appearance in your area. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each event.
