Dedric Willoughby's leadership and pinpoint accuracy from long distance paced the Cyclones to consecutive NCAA appearances in 1996 and 1997, including a Sweet Sixteen berth in 1997. A native of New Orleans, La., Willoughby was a two-time first-team all-conference choice and an All-American in 1997. He helped lead Iowa State to the final Big Eight Tournament title in 1996 and was named MVP of the tournament. The 1996 Big Eight Newcomer of the Year still owns the school record for most 3-pointers made in a season with 102, ranking fourth nationally in 3-pointers per game in 1997. He played for the Chicago Bulls in 1999-2000.
