Day Seven: Cyclones In Rome
ROME, Italy- The weather was perfect and the Iowa State men's basketball team took in all of the sights of the ancient city of Rome. The Cyclones had an off day from basketball and spent the morning on a bus tour of Rome. The tour circled the city and its historic sites, including a pass-by The Vatican.
In the afternoon, the Cyclones took a group tour of the ancient Roman Colesseum and the nearby Forum.
The Cyclones will spend tomorrow morning on a guided tour of The Vatican and will play their final game of their Italian trip in the evening.
Day Five: Cyclones Tour Florence
FLORENCE, Italy- The Iowa State men's basketball spent the day seeing the sights of Florence, Italy, one of the oldest cities in Europe.
The Cyclones went on a guided tour of the city's historical downtown area, including stops at two churches and a museum. The team saw Michelangelo's David, which is on display in a downtown museum.
Iowa State is back in action tomorrow night, playing a team in Rome at 2:30 CST.
Day Two: Cyclones Tour Lake Como
BELLAGIO, Italy- The weather couldn't have been more perfect for a guided boat tour of Italy's gorgeous Lake Como this morning. The Iowa State men's basketball team spent four hours touring the lake's beauty.
The Cyclones saw movie star George Clooney's vacation spot and where infamous Italian dictator Benito Mussolini spent his final day.
An hour of the tour was spent in the beautiful town of Bellagio.
The Cyclones will play their first game on their trip vs. Oleggio Basket tonight in Milan. Iowa State has another game scheduled vs. the Sondrio All-Stars tomorrow in Varese.

Day One: Cyclones Tour Milan on First Day of Italian Trip
MILAN, Italy- The Iowa State men's basketball team arrived in Milan at around 9 AM Italian time this morning. The Cyclones quickly took a tour of the city after the 9-hour flight, seeing many of the historic landmarks of the city.
The Iowa State contingent visited the ancient Duomo cathedral on the tour. The impressive cathedral was built in 1386. The Cyclones will stay in Milan until August 14 when they travel to Florence.
Tomorrow is a big day for the Cyclones. The team will visit beautiful Lake Como in the morning and then play its first game in the evening against Oleggio Basket at 2 p.m. CST in Milan. Iowa State is still working out its schedule of games for the rest of the week.
