Cyclones 12th After Two Rounds At Lady Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – The Iowa State women's golf team is in 12th place after posting a 302 in the second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. ISU has a two-round 607 tally.
Furman maintained its lead at 583, three shots better than Kent State (586).
Celia Barquin fired a second-round 73 to stay in the top-10 (T8) in the medalist race at 145. She is 1-over for the tournament and had three birdies on her card today.
Chayanit Wangmahaporn and Amelia Grohn are tied for 23rd at 149, respectively. Grohn recorded the Cyclones' lowest score of the second round with a 1-under 71 this afternoon.
The third and final round will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes.
