Cyclones In Seventh After Round One Of Stanford Intercollegiate

PALO ALTO, Calif.- The Cyclones finished off day one of the Stanford Intercollegiate tied for seventh place. As a team, Iowa State shot three-over in their first round. With a very tight leaderboard, it's anyone's game with two rounds to play in the Stanford Intercollegiate.
Leading the Cyclones in round one is number one ranked Big 12 golfer Pammy Chookaew. Chookaew shot three-under par, putting her in a tie for fifth place. Chookaew snagged five birdies in her first round. Alexandra Vidal sits in the Cyclones' second spot after shooting a one-over round, putting Vidal in a tie for 32nd. Vidal copied Chookaew with five birdies as well.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon sits in a tie for 48th after shooting two-over in her first round. Pinprayoon grabbed three birdies in her round. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn took the Cyclones' fourth spot, shooting a three-over round with a couple birdies on her card to put her in a tie for 54th. Isabella Yan rounds out the Cyclones after a five-over round and sitting in a tie for 78th.
The tournament host, Stanford, leads the field by six strokes after shooting a -13.
