NORMAN, Okla.— The Iowa State women's golf team finished the Schooner Fall Classic in fourth place. The Cyclones shot three-over in their final round to put their three-day total to six-under. The Cyclones were led by Pammy Chookaew, who shot two-under in her final round to put her total at six-under, placing her in a tie for fifth. Chookaew now has two top five finishes in a row, with her four birdies in the final round helping her.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon shot a two-over round, putting her in a tie for 13th and a three-day total of two-under. Pinprayoon had three nice birdies in her round. Isabella Yan did her thing, placing in the Cyclones' third spot after shooting even in her final round to place her in a tie for 30th with a total score of two-over.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn shot a five-over third round, placing her in a tie for 37th and making her three-day total a plus-four. Chul-Ak-Sorn had a pair of birdies to show for in her final round. Alexandra Vidal rounded out the Cyclones in her season debut, placing in a tie for 61st after shooting three-over in her final round, putting her three-day total at eight-over. Vidal totaled four birdies in her final round as well.
Oklahoma State won the event, shooting 18-under after three rounds and winning by seven strokes. The Cyclones will next travel to Chicago, Ill., to take part in the Windy City Classic on Sept. 29-30.
