Lincoln, Neb. – The Iowa State tennis team picked up three doubles victories and a singles victory on day two of the Nebraska Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Valeska San Martin Ramirez and Gabriela Felix won both their doubles matches on Saturday, defeating Kansas State's Addison Renfro and Mallory Renfro, 6-1, before taking down Illinois' Risa Ueno and Elizabeth Isiyanov, 6-3. Suzanie Pretorius and Gabriella Kellner also saw victory in a doubles match, beating Missouri's MJ Brumfield and Alex Ackman, 6-4.
In singles, Suzanie Pretorius was victorious for the second-straight day, defeating Zhanel Rustemova from Kansas State, 6-2, 6-2. She's now outscored her opponents, 12-2, 12-2 combined in the first two days. San Martin, Kellner and Felix all fell in their respective singles matches.
The Cyclones will be back in action at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
